  I have found a way that kind of makes the Nude cleansing oil work but I still won't purchase a full size of it.

  Apologies for the late post today but it's Monday & I was off. (So basically what I'm trying to say, is that I've done next to nothing today. Sorry not sorry.) 

  

I apparently forgot that I had already scheduled Monday's post so this is right on time! ANYWAY, this is Jack the lad. I showed him here like almost two years ago and promised a better picture. Voila, new picture! This is definitely staying in my collection. I think it's safe to say that I'll be keeping all of my BLs. Almost none of them were thoughtless purchases & I've pretty much loved every single one I've worn. I think I'm going to dive into my red/pink/orange/yellow drawer next and work on some of those.

  So I know I said in my last polish post, that I would start destashing polishes I've already worn and do posts to say whether or not I'd keep them. Butttt, this is an untried polish. I like it for now, though. This was two coats of HC. It is a little banged up though. More of my fault really, I just had to wash my brushes not ten minutes after this dried. Again, another lesson learned. 

FOTD: High Voltage fail

  It's been a while since I shared an FOTD. I know past FOTDs have focused on the eyes but today, I'm focusing more on my lips.

                          

  Where do I even begin with the Nyx High Voltage lipstick? Admittedly I've only worn it once so far (at time of writing). But I expect a little more from Nyx. The shade on my lips is Privileged. It looked beautiful on the first pass. But even in the picture, you can see it melting into the lines of lips. Lines, might I add, that didn't seem to exist before putting this on. My lips have been super dry thanks to Lady Winter, admittedly. But I had that all squared away with a new lip balm that has been doing awesome things. Well you wouldn't be able to tell thanks to this lipstick. I'm not going to write these off just yet based on this one color but I'm wary now.

  Taking a break from nails for a second (and by second I mean like two posts.) I've decided that it's time to go through all my lipsticks & destash. If it's not expired (& I have only worn it once or twice) it gets passed on. If it's expired (in the case of these Nyx roundcase lipsticks), it gets trashed.

  These all smell weird. I don't remember them having this kind of scent when purchased. Margarita isn't as old as the other three but it smells kind of off. Plus I'm honestly not crazy about the color. I purchased it about two years ago when an Instagram follower challenged me to wear lighter & softer lip colors. Of course I had to try. I've only worn Margarita the once and never looked at it again. Chaos, I have fond memories of. I've worn it several times. The last time I recall wearing it was for my twentieth birthday. A day that could have been spent being sad and weepy over the failure of a long awaited relationship. I did my makeup that morning and this lipstick just made me feel powerful. As a result, I had a lovely birthday. Louisiana & Gardenia were worn a handful of times each (as a break from all the brighter colors in my stash).

  All in all, these were nice lipsticks but I honestly haven't reached for any of these within the last year. I almost feel like I outgrew them in a sense. I may pick Chaos again for sentimental purposes (and also because I really do love the color). Such a shame, I let them go to waste. Lesson learned.

  This was after not even a full twenty four hours of wear. Yes I work retail but, seriously what the eff. Maybe it's my basecoat? I've had the same bottle of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails for some time now. I don't know but I was so frustrated by this. I'm slowly starting to get back into nail stuff again. I may redo this mani but probably not for some time. I was going to try to tackle my untrieds drawer again. But being that I need destash some polishes, I'm going to use a different approach. If it doesn't wow me once it's on, it has to go. I'll wear it for a whole 48 hours, just to be fair.
